Abigail Zobrist, LSW
I’m Abigail Zobrist, a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and I specialize in guiding individuals through grief and loss, practicing mindfulness, and navigating life transitions.
I have a rich background in the field of social work. My journey in this profession has led me to work with individuals and families facing various life challenges and mental health issues.
My approach is rooted in respect, dignity, integrity, and social justice, and I look forward to assisting you in achieving your goals and improving your problem-solving skills, all while advocating for your right to make decisions about your life.
I hold a Master's Degree in social work from Aurora University and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Sciences, which ignited my passion for serving others. I am currently working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to extend my knowledge and capacity to play a vital role in helping clients navigate mental health and life challenges.
In my practice, I place a strong emphasis on respecting and promoting my clients' right to self-determination. My goal is to empower individuals by providing them with the tools and coping skills they need to identify and clarify their life goals. I have had the privilege of working with clients who have experienced severe mental health issues, individuals and families in hospice care, and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.
What drives me in my work is a commitment to social justice and inclusivity. I believe in creating an environment where all clients can feel comfortable, confident, and empowered to flourish in their relationships.
One of my particular areas of focus is supporting clients through grief and loss, whether it's the loss of a loved one, major life transitions, or other significant changes. My dedication extends beyond the therapy room as I actively connect clients with essential community resources and advocate for equal opportunity and fairness.
Outside of my professional life, you can find me enjoying nature walks, practicing mindfulness, buying houseplants, attending concerts, and spending quality moments with my family, including our new German Sheppard, Laddy.
I'm deeply passionate about helping clients and communities, and I am committed to being a trusted partner on your journey towards personal growth and healing.
