Kate Umbriaco, LCPC
Hi, I’m Kate Umbriaco and I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, LCPC. I specialize in couples/intimacy counseling, anger management and anxiety.
Healing spaces and techniques come in many shapes and sizes. As we navigate through life, we go through a series of trial and error, gain experience, seek advice, and make choices. Along the way, we start to pick up bits and pieces of what works for us.
Some of these might be temporary coping strategies, while others might be skills we develop and implement throughout our lifetime. Either way, it is important for us to find, utilize, and mindfully pack the tools we’ll need to help us along our life journey.
For me, growth, reflection, and healing happen outdoors. Being outside and connecting with the elements is where I do most of my own self-work. Nature is the personification of many human emotions, from quiet and serene to tumultuous and powerful. It is old and wise and yet, becomes new and reborn many times over. I look forward to offering eco-therapy sessions in the near future for clients.
In counseling sessions with clients, we leverage your strengths to develop healthy coping strategies. While I offer many different types of counseling, I specialize in the three following types.
Couples/Intimacy Counseling: Our sessions will provide a neutral space to collaborate and address challenges. Together, we'll work on building intimacy, connection, trust, and resolution, so you and your partner can show up for each other in a supportive and loving way.
Anxiety Counseling: Anxiety is a familiar struggle for many, yet it is experienced in various ways. Using the CBT approach, we'll work together to understand your unique experience and identify tools and skills to manage and improve anxiety.
Anger Management/Emotional Regulation: In these sessions, we'll develop regulation tools, enhance self-control, and explore the root beliefs and experiences that shape your emotional expression.
Let me empower and support you on your unique wellness journey. Using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we'll explore how thoughts impact emotions and actions. Together, we'll identify and challenge negative thought patterns, replacing them with healthier strategies.
